A popular staple in any dim-sum restaurant, you might be asking yourself: Why are there no flowers in this tea? Where is the aroma from?
These are the facts:
The tea leaves are not scented with artificial jasmine flower "perfume". Instead, the fresh green leaves are immersed with young jasmine buds over a few nights to absorb the natural floral fragrance. For each cycle, new buds are added and blended with the leaves then removed from the mixture once their essence is completely absorbed. After 5-8 cycles, the leaves are hand-rolled into pearls to seal in the floral aromas and flavors. The taste? Fragrant, sweet and buttery. It is a delightful flavor with a lingering finish that will have your mouth watering for hours! The low caffeine content makes this tea a versatile drink to serve with breakfast, as an afternoon refreshment, or an evening wind-down.
